Assisting Angels was opened in April 2002 by Carmen Davis and currently serves Greenville County, South Carolina and the surrounding areas. Assisting Angels is not a franchise. Because we are a privately owned company, we are not bound by the strict rules of a franchise. We are able to be more flexible with the home care we provide.

Are caregivers available 24/7? Can I have services for just a few days?
YES! Caregivers can provide care from 3 to 24 hours a day, 1 to 7 days a week. We can assist with your home health care needs as much or as little as required. Anytime you need us, we will be there.

Are caregivers able to help in hospitals or nursing homes?
Yes! We work closely with many hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities to ensure your loved one has the best possible care.

Does Assisting Angels include the patient and his or her family in developing the plan of care?
YES! This care will be for you, so we want you to decide what you want and need. We provide a FREE assessment at home with the person receiving care and family members. We will come to your home, explain our services, and give you a quote, FREE of charge.

What procedures does Assisting Angels have in place to handle emergencies?
Our office hours are Monday to Friday 9am-4pm, but there is a supervisor on-call 24/7 to handle any emergencies. When our office is closed, we have an answering service that will take calls and contact a supervisor as needed.

How quickly can services be started?
Home care services can be started within 24-48 hours of your initial assessment. And in emergencies we have even started services the same day.

How do you ensure client satisfaction?
Assisting Angels is the only Senior Approved agency in the Upstate of South Carolina! To become Senior Approved, we were rated excellent through an exclusive in-depth survey process. Clients are asked to fill out a brief survey about their experience with Assisting Angels. In order to maintain our Senior Approved status, Assisting Angels must maintain a 90% or higher satisfaction rating with our clients. We also routinely call and visit our clients to ensure their satisfaction with their caregiver.

How much does home health care cost?
Costs vary based on the services we provide. Call our office for a FREE information packet at 864-288-7100.

Do you accept insurance or vouchers?
Yes. We accept long-term care insurance. However, each policy varies and we must be approved by your company for your specific plan before we begin service. There are also vouchers available to those with Alzheimer’s, or to those over 60 who qualify. For more information, please call us!

Do you accept Medicare/Medicaid?
Not at this time, but we do accept some vouchers.

Is Assisting Angels licensed, bonded, and insured? Are caregivers covered by workers' compensation?
